International Center releases Global Engagement Academy offerings for Spring 2024

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 5, 2024)  As the University of Kentucky continues to become a more globally engaged campus, it is important that all faculty and staff have the opportunity to be informed about UK’s many international connections and to contribute to internationalization themselves.  

Travel vaccinations now available at UK Pharmacist Care Clinic

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 2, 2024) — UK Retail Pharmacies now offers a new service to make preparing for international travel easier. The service provides travelers with all the required and recommended vaccines they need based on their destination. Travelers can prepare for their next trip abroad by receiving counseling based on their travel itinerary, as well as travel vaccinations, including:

Fulbright awardee leads reforestation effort in Australia

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 17, 2024) — For more than two decades, Chris Barton, Ph.D., professor of forest hydrology and watershed management in the University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, has been conducting research related to environmental pollution and the restoration of degraded lands. Primarily focused on coal mines in Appalachia, Barton’s research recently expanded to a more global scale.
